Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2026Our commitment to accessibility
At Unseen Arts Grimsby C.I.C., we believe creativity should be accessible to everyone.
As an inclusive arts centre and community organisation, we are committed to creating welcoming spaces where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can take part in creative activities, learn new skills, and connect with others.
We recognise that accessibility means different things to different people. We are committed to continually improving both our digital services and our physical spaces to remove barriers wherever possible.
Our website
We aim to make the Unseen Arts website as accessible and easy to use as possible. We work towards meeting the accessibility standards outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.
We aim to:
Use clear, simple language wherever possible.
Structure content with clear headings and navigation.
Ensure text is readable and easy to understand.
Provide alternative text for images where appropriate.
Ensure links and buttons are clearly identifiable.
Make our website usable across different devices and screen sizes.
Our activities and spaces
Accessibility is central to how we deliver our classes, workshops, courses and events.
We recognise that people may experience barriers relating to mobility, physical ability, neurodiversity, sensory needs, communication, finances or other circumstances.
Where possible, we work with participants to make reasonable adjustments to support their involvement.
If you require adjustments to take part in an activity, please contact us before booking or attending so we have time to understand your needs and prepare any appropriate support, equipment or adaptations.
Some activities, particularly those involving physical movement such as aerial arts, pole, dance and performance, may require specific safety considerations. We will always work with participants to explore suitable adjustments wherever reasonably possible.
Accessible information
If you need information from our website in an alternative format, please contact us. We will do our best to provide information in a format that works for you.
