Step into the world of the Pilgrims at Immingham Library! Discover how a small group of people set out on a brave journey across the sea over 400 years ago. You’ll see objects, pictures, and stories that show what life was like for them — from the clothes they wore to the ships they sailed in. Along the way, you’ll hear amazing tales about their adventures, the challenges they faced, and the special role Immingham played in their story.

Sound Creators Workshop

After your visit, it’s time to make some noise! In this fun workshop, you’ll create sounds that bring the Pilgrim stories to life. Try making the creak of wooden ships, the crash of ocean waves, the flap of sails in the wind, or the chatter of a busy port. With your voices, music technology and everyday objects, you’ll build a soundtrack that makes history exciting and helps you imagine what it was like to set off on such a daring voyage.
